Wedding Checklist - One month to go!

With just one month to go until your big day, your head's probably spinning with all of the preparations. Don't worry, though, the end is in sight and you have only a few more items to check off your list before you're ready to relax and enjoy your wedding!

1. DRAW UP YOUR SEATING PLAN

Unfortunately for some of us, one of the final pieces of preparation can also be one of the most complicated. Who do you seat together? Who can you definitely not seat together? Family arguments and friendly rivalries can make drawing up a seating plan for your wedding something of a minefield, especially if your family includes step-parents and siblings, ex-partners or anyone else who may have problems with the other people at their table.

While some couples will skip the hassle by simply leaving it up to guests to seat themselves, most of us will still go to a lot of time and trouble to make sure that no one feels left out, and no arguments are likely to break out.

2. HAVE A FINAL MEETING WITH THE STAFF AT YOUR VENUE

By the time your wedding day rolls around you'll probably be counting the staff at your venue (and especially the wedding coordinator) amongst your very closest friends! Make time, though, to meet with them one final time in the weeks before the wedding to go over the plans and make sure everything's set to run smoothly.

3. GET A MANICURE / FACIAL / MASSAGE

The makeup and hair is booked, so all that remains in order for you to look absolutely perfect is the manicure and facial. Whilst a manicure is best left to the day before the wedding to minimise the chances of chips, remember that facials can bring impurities to the surface of the skin. The last thing you want is a face full of zits staring back at you forever more from your wedding pictures, so if you're having a facial, book it for at least a week before the wedding.

4. ENJOY YOUR HEN AND STAG NIGHTS!

The hen and stag nights are traditionally arranged by the best maid and best man respectively, so this is one part of the preparations which you don't have to worry about. Whilst hen and stag nights used to be held the night before the wedding, it's now more common for them to be held a few days, or even weeks, before. Well, a hangover on your wedding day is the last thing you need…

5. BUY YOUR WEDDING RINGS

Of course, you may have rushed out and done this as soon as you booked the wedding, but if not, this is the one thing you really can't afford to forget!

6. RELAX!

Yes, we know relaxation is the last thing on your mind, but in all of the stress of preparing for your wedding day it's easy to forget the most important fact at all: that this is supposed to be fun! Try to take some time out in the days before the wedding to have a massage, go for a walk, spend time with friends or do anything else that relaxes you.

ENJOY YOUR DAY!
