IS THE KIT EASY TO USE?
Yes - it really is as easy as playing with plasticene. There's no powders, mixing with water, baking or anything remotely messy and it takes about five minutes. In your kit you'll receive some special putty-type stuff and full instructions. When you've done the fingerprint(s) you leave it to harden for a few minutes then pop it back to us in the reply paid envelope. Your jewellery will arrive within two weeks from us receiving the fingerprint impressions.
IS THE KIT SUITABLE FOR USE WITH CHILDREN OF ANY AGE?
Yes, although the ridges and whorls of fingerprints develop over time which means the prints of babies of less than six months are not always well-defined. Of course the impression will still be unique to that child. One nice idea is to do one when they are little and another when they're older to have an unusual record of how children change and develop!
THERE IS NOT MUCH ROOM ON EACH ITEM. HOW LONG CAN MY MESSAGE OR NAME BE?
The writing is all done by hand rather than with a stamp which is why it can't be reduced in size to accommodate long words...
For a single item: ie one dog tag, one charm (round or heart), one flat section of cufflink: there's room for one finger print and one word/name of five letters (six if at least one of the letters is a narrow one eg 'i' or 'l'.) Eg Millie would be fine but Bertie might be a squeeze because, apart from the 'i', all the letters are quite wide. If your names are longer perhaps you could opt for initials or birth dates. Because dog tags are larger than the other items, we can usually get slightly longer names or words on each one - it still depends on how many narrow letters there are in the word or name.
For two items: eg two dog tags, two charms, double cufflinks, you could have the finger print on one item and a name or message on the other. Again, we do our best to make your jewellery beautiful, but it can be hard to fit on words longer than six letters.

Yes - we can gift wrap the kit. The kit itself makes a great present. The finished jewellery is presented in a gift box anyway, whether or not you choose to have the kit gift wrapped. Please select the option for kit gift wrapping at the time of purchase.
I SEE THE FINGERPRINT ITEMS ARE SOLID SILVER AND THE CHAINS, FINDINGS, KEYRINGS ETC. ARE STERLING SILVER - WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE?
Sterling silver is 92.5% pure. Solid silver is 99.9% pure.
CAN I ORDER A DIFFERENT LENGTH CHAIN TO THAT MENTIONED IN THE PRODUCT DESCRIPTION?
