Chamomile has been used for over 2000 years for calming mental & emotional trauma. Its name derives from the Greek Kamai meaning ground apple because of its fresh fruity scent. It was called Maythen by the Saxons & was revered as one of their nine sacred herbs. It was later adopted by the Christians & dedicated to Saint Anne who was the mother of the Virgin Mary. In the language of flowers chamomile stands for "Patience in adversity". It is often known as the "Plants Physician" because it seems to improve the health of the plants within its immediate vicinity.

Bergamot is an excellent oil for counteracting work related strain. The blend also includes Sandalwood which is very helpful for individuals who are prone to feeling "pressurised". The wonderful properties of Sandalwood have been recognised for thousands of years & across most cultures. It is also believed to be a "spiritual oil" & in some Eastern religions is referred to as the "oil of divinity" (ie. endless life).
